The purpose of this organization is to bring into working relations with one another, music clubs and other music organizations and individuals directly or indirectly associated with music activity for the purpose of developing and maintaining high musical standards; aiding and encouraging music education; and the promotion of American music and musicians throughout America and other countries.
The Monday Musical Club, Inc. established in 1908, is a member of the National Federation Music Clubs, established in 1898, and Michigan Federation of Music Clubs establish in 1957. The National Federation of Music Clubs is chartered by the Congress of the United States, and is the only music organization member of the United Nations.
Monday Musical Club is a non-profit philanthropic and educational organization dedicated to music education and promotion of creative and performing arts. Programs include professional musicians, artists-educators, music educators, student and junior artists and local music enthusiasts. Individual memberships include Senior (adult), Student (collegiate), and Junior (under 19 years of age).
The Monday Musical Club meets the first Monday in October, November, and February through June for artists’ program meetings at the beautiful Heritage Museum and Cultural Center at 601 Main Street, Saint Joseph, MI. The Annual Vespers Service is held on the first Sunday in December. The annual Junior Club Scholarship Competition is held in January.
The Monday Musical Student and Junior Club meets the fourth Saturday in September through November and January through April at The Whitcomb, 509 Ship Street, Saint Joseph, MI.
The Monday Music Club Board of Directors meet the last Monday of the month August through May and the first Monday in June at K-Line Irrigation, 4270 Hollywood Road, Saint Joseph, MI at 9:30 AM. Special Committees meet throughout the year as needed.
